Of Lives Old and New
Home Away From Home
Awareness awake!
Hold languid moments in mind's eye
Wake, bringing sweeping touches
To my fingers
As my eyes linger
While mind reads the skies
Half gazing still slumbering
I saw a bridge half old - half new
Another touch in lieu
Of surrender
Half gazing still slumbering
Rapidly moving arch of centuries
Awakening again
To light tones in the air 'bout me
To share with said tones
A gaze at a tree
See an arched limb suspended in time
Like a silhouette of grace
Within harmony
Within home
Light without taint
Is beyond the merits of paint
So I wander up to skies and sunbeams
To a new glaze of dew
Like lives old and new
Songs thought long on a
Feeling guided, a query to why
Life before seemed clear but is not known
Now or ever
A thing such as destiny
Must be clever
Because what once came naturally
Is now of unknown endeavor
