Oh bright one, for whom the sun doth glisten,
Listen ho! The rainbow speaks of new days
With radiant hues that spark new vision--
each color has equal say in all ways.
For red does go to or'nge and yellow then
green, blue, indigo, and violet, yes,
but the rhythm of their flow sings a hymn
and clothes the gray rained sky in holy dress.
Each blessed day may have a drop of gray
but tears from clouds will pave the way for now
through rainbow roads that lead to brightest gold--
thou arc'ed beauty transcribing the "how."
Life in children's eyes is that of wonder;
And I, too, see beauty after thunder.
