Oh, old school, how we long for thee,
The days when things were simpler and carefree,
When life was less hectic, less chaotic,
And we weren't constantly bombarded with the neurotic.
Oh, old school, how we miss your ways,
The nostalgia that fills our hearts and stays,
The time when life was more personal,
And technology wasn't so invasive and commercial.
We remember the days when a phone was a phone,
And not a mini computer that we're constantly prone,
To checking, scrolling, and swiping,
While the real world around us is slowly dying.
Oh, old school, how we cherish your values,
The importance of respect, hard work, and moral dues,
The art of conversation and meaningful connections,
And not just likes, follows, and instant gratifications.
We long for the days when music was pure,
And not just a product to be sold and demure,
When lyrics had meaning, passion, and soul,
And not just shallow words with no real goal.
Oh, old school, how we appreciate your simplicity,
The beauty in the basic, the grace in humility,
The value in the small things, the joy in the ordinary,
And not just the pursuit of fame, wealth, and luxury.
So let us raise a glass to old school,
A tribute to the past, a nod to the cool,
For even though times have changed and moved on,
The memory of old school will forever live on.
