Ode to Getting Old

Getting old it sucks you see.
You cannot think.
You cannot see.
You can barely stand to take a pee.
Days go by very fast you see.
As nights do too!
Is this making sense for you?
When you awaken in the morning.
The nurse comes in without any warning!
She gives you an evil stare.
She looks as though she does not care.
After she’s done poking and prodding.
You give her the finger when she isn’t watching.
Your bored, so you turn on the T.V.
It’s time for your meds.
Oh Yippy!
It’s now 9:00, time for bed.
As the same boring routine begins again.
