Ode to a storm

Ode to a storm

On a dark an' dreary, dismal morn -

Upon my windows, the heavens cried out,

The windswept trees bowed down in forlorn -

And Brayed heavy upon my door unannounced.

The timbers twisted and my whole house listed -

And Swayed in the gales side to side,

The howling unknowns lost amongst the mists -

Echoed my heart's fears of what would betide.

The sky king shouted in anger and rage -

As he forked out to his lands down below,

An' the flashes flickered out down across my page -

As He made his eternal majesty known.
