You’re tall, so old, so cool, so free,
A fierce dragon beneath bleachers' sea,
You puff your smoke and claim your throne,
A rebel heart,
a spirit all grown.
With dice and books,
I weave my spells,
While rules you break and dodge school bells.
A rebel in truth,
So chilly and cold,
I bet your parents are proud of their mold.
You’re all leather jackets and Converse shoes,
I’m only Payless sandals, no tattoos.
But when you stroll, my heart thumps and bumps,
Convinced you’re the GOAT, never the chump.
Your charisma strong as my wizard's charm,
I follow your lead, safe from harm.
Yet deep inside, I know the score,
That at the root of it all,
You wish for much more.
