There was a little child
Who cuddled a bear.
She dance in the autumn
With not but a care.
She sang to the wind
And pranced in the leaves.
She whispered to snails
And swung from the trees.
She gathered the roses
And blew them a kiss.
She smiled like sunshine
And lived in pure bliss.
Her mind wove no nightmares.
Her thoughts wore no wears.
Her voice never stifled.
Her heart wore no tears.
She woke to the sunshine
And slept by moonlight.
Her dreams filled with angels
Protecting the night.
Her friends were the unicorns.
Her love was the stars.
Her home was in Neverland
And sometimes on Mars.
Her life lay before her.
A road endless on.
Her view was the brightest.
Her years at their dawn.
