Ode To A Bird

Inspired by a Philosopher

I once saw a light

The depths were great

It was enough power to change any

Man's fate

The longer I stared

The dimmer it grew

It solidfied in me

That old things are new

There was a man with two path

The decision was hard

Does he move from the past

Or hold on to scars

Heaven was near

Hell was closer

The decision was clear

He lived all over

A man and his bird always

Did sing

The world with them together never

Meant a thing

The man left his house

The bird started chirping

Together again

Their worlds started working

The song they sang

was greater than last

No longer apart

Nor torn with the past

The chirp was a whistle

The house was a home

Together again

The world and their own
