Odder Truth

Torn in-between...

We were meant to exist as strangers...

Blowing on a winter breeze in December...

Our love deities,

Illustrated a moment

For us to relish.

Your love vibrates my Bones...

Truth be told

I still feel you near,

Even when I'm alone...

You Buried me in your Love

And Now

I'm left Rumbling in the Deep,

Like I'm made of stone...

Your Love is the

Liquid to my fountain...

I'm the Peak

And you're the mountain

Together we Belong...

Or maybe

We Belong as Strangers...

  • It's just so sad to know that lovers would always have a possibility of ending up as strangers. So sad!

That return to the first line at the end is executed so well. It doesn't quite undo all that is in between, but it certainly recolors it in a way that requires another reading, and more thought beyond the confines of the poem itself. Well done!

It makes me think of how often I have had these moments with random strangers and felt like we knew each other. However, they are always gone too soon.

I feel that. Those people that sometimes randomly cross our paths, but maybe they were meant for something more. Some brilliant lines in there Lonzo.
