A poetic story for October

Woke up this morning to the tenth month. Lively overjoyed on this fall day.

The sheer contentment and the joy it brings me last all day.

I don’t wanna leave here. I see the fall leaves here.

So gratifying. Yes, drown your spirit in the October leaves here.

Leave out the door for more as the leaves swim to shore.

The water reflects the leaves of the trees the season ejects more.

It’s a sign of the homestretch season of the year.

I think the green is no longer seen. Colorful leaves will appear.

I collect and protect them to hang at the renaissance festival for the fall.

The store decorates a sensation. I can’t help it. I want it all when it falls.

No one can resist change reflected in these leaves.

They don’t wanna leave they howl best when we start approaching All Hallows Eve.

Pumpkin cakes, pumpkin pies and of course the pumpkin patch.

Every child and parent seeks to snatch one from the batch.

Open up the hatch for the trunk or treat for snacks so every child can have a snatch.

The heat is leaving. Now sweaters for cooler air is coming in.

I swear I don’t want it to end. I’m dressed for the season. It’s not just pretend.

When the candy rains I promise you it lights my soul for real.

The joy in my soul is for real. How can I deal with this season departure.

I smell the sugar in the bags of the candy on the shelf.

It’s a rush of nostalgia. I’m not sure I can control myself.

I’m dressed up to hit every door on the final day of the month for a trick or treat.

My heart won’t skip or miss a beat and I don’t wanna miss a treat.

Everyone in a costume I assume like every October time before.

I stand with a bucketful entertaining the ruckus of the children lined up at my door.

I pretend to loathe the season, but truth be told I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ready to have their cauldron’s filled with and fruity treats and chocolate flavors.

Every moment goes door to door. That which you savor.

The naked branches of the trees are visible and clear.

Their remnants carpet the ground when they appear.

What a gift to recieve. In this season I will always believe.

For a year may I grieve. Impatiently waiting on these October leaves.
