October Lane, a place filled with the echo of crows

Cawing, a murder waiting to pounce. Their beady eyes

Track every move along the street, watching and waiting for the

Opportunity to do some Hallowe'en haunting of their own. But the wild

Beasts hunt the night, catching many unawares, cackling like the

Evil that awakens when the light fades,

Roaming to and fro along October Lane.

Little feet patter away, rushing down old

Alleys and across the street, protecting their own treats from those

Nocturnal creatures. Always there. Waiting, desperate,

Eager to begin the chase, at home on October Lane.
