October: An Invitation from Me
An Acrostic October Invitation.

Here we are again! Well, you know the drill: Write a poem that makes October feel like a place you can enter.
I've done this a few times, but one more can't hurt, right?

Open up the windows, let the crisp breeze flow through.
Carry only your open mind and festive spirit with you!
Time is of the essence, my friend, it only occurs once per year.
Oh, don't worry about your clothes, be warm and comfy dear!
Beware of my black cat, he loves to cuddle!
Everyone thinks my neighbors are witches, hiding in a senior huddle.
Rocking in my chair outside; blanketed in soft candlelight, waiting for you. The same as last year.

Happy fall, y'all!
