You welcome me, like a Libra New Moon
Bringing homemade apple cider as I walk into a room
You hold me like, wonderful spell
Reaching deep in the universe for the wishes of well
You inspire me like starriest of nights
Tucking me in warmly to ensure I am all right
And all is right, when October comes around
It is there where prayers can be answered and found
October, you’ve carved me into a bit a mystic
Fleetwood Mac in my dreams like some witchy statistic
As above and so below,
October carry me wherever wind may blow
And music may play, and children rejoice
Screams of playful terror, such a beautiful noise
October bring me in, away from heat
Be a cool, crisp 65 degrees
Remind me of all things coming to end
The cycle of life and reincarnation
October be bold, be inviting, be kind
Be the coziest sweater I can possibly find
You’re not here forever though that I dismay
Just don’t rush, together, our 31 days
Fall into oranges and reds and golds
When it is October, it just feels like home.
