Ocean of Red

An Angel get's His Wings

I felt your life inside of me long before you ever had a chance to take form. I closed my eyes and envisioned your whole life before the storm. Every smile and every tear. Each day and all the years.

Your dad's warm embrace, and wonderment in his gaze. A family to call my own. Until my nightmare took hold. Still I held onto you, not wanting to let go.

But my heart sank and I was overcome by despair. In agonizing pain the darkness crept ever closer and helpless I lay there. Consumed in an ocean of red I tried to catch my breath. No words could console such a broken soul.

Until a story was told of heaven's very own. And forever in my heart you wait for us to be reunited some day.
