Once I thought I knew myself
It was, whence I made my first mask
The mirror-image, I knew well
But it was just a shell at last
----------------------------------------------
So many I pretend to be
An Actor, playing many parts
Underneath, what is this “me”?
My heart, so different, from "their" hearts
----------------------------------------------
Raven, come and answer this
Don’t you know, old questions art?
Who am I? Am I amiss?
Never more felt I unchart
----------------------------------------------
Masks and masks lay stacked up high
This Pile of lies, I leave behind
Not understood, will I so die?
I fear, to live life undefined
----------------------------------------------
As seeker will I therefore go
In search of answers unmet
Wandering, mind high and low
My genes, what gift of life's roulette
