as the oaks stand tall,
rooted and strong
so do i
in this journey lifelong
like crowns of saplings
try reaching the sky
me, pacing further ahead
dreams within my eyes
.
every extreme climates
foreshadowing em’ with kindness
through the voyage of battles
engulfing oppressions, complains and prattles
unlatching the invisible wings
in the melody a nightingale sings
.
for just as oaks shed their leaves
i too, shed the innocent sleeves
in the whisper of wind,
wisdom they find
unfolding lessons of life shapes
heart and mind
.
in oak and i, a bond forever
entwined
freedom and wisdom,
braided and intertwined
closer we flourish
standing tall and free
singing together in life harmonies
.
as i hear, the oak yawp
in weary and pain
for just they brought her down
blinded with selfishness and vain
what did i do?
i, sir; just stood there
deprived of my youthfulness
drowned in turmoil feeling of abyss
.
while I can hear my oak
getting minced into pieces
as I was seeking help
tied in vicious leashes
.
scattering round the globe
lies woodlands of oaks
along with species of mine
some green, some brown
and some naked and old
.
