Numb

Forget all the pain.

I'd like to trade the sunshine for the rain.

If I'm not numb, then I'm only feeling the pain.

I'd like to trade the good times for the bad.

If I'm feeling something, it's best if it makes me sad.

I'd like to trade my life for a tomb, and a place for eternal rest.

If I'm to call this life, then let this be my very last breath.

I'd like to sail lost at sea, as a rouge wave crashes over me.

If I'm not to be loved, then that's fine, it's okay with me.

I'd like to say that I am brave, but I'm nothing but afraid.

If you are my friend, then I am alone, and there is nothing left to say.

I'd like to say I'm sorry, but those words would not be true.

If this is goodbye, let the bell ring, and the dust lie.
