All I ask for
Is a place to rest my weary head
Perhaps upon the natural grass-bed
Tree roots forming the frame as
Leaves drift down onto me.
All I gaze upon
Are canopies painted with a fine brush
With hues of yellow-bright and orange-hush
Only a few parts are red-swatch
And brown-tones are to crush
Propped against a bleached bark
Campus view calmly alive
With the breeze whispering through is
All I ask for
