Nothing more than a chain.

Forced and locked, in the room,

Closing in, sudden doom,

Air tight, locked to kill,

Cold as winter, deadly chill,

Covered tracks, sure disgrace,

Fear to control, rather than boldly face,

Silent whisper, soon foretold,

Remorseless reign, heartless cold,

Stay the course, hinder the task,

Reinforce the guise and mask,

Cure the spreading deadly disease,

Double standard as you please,

Breaking boundaries, subject to desire,

Hope then quenched along with its fire,

Not a single care to give,

Hearts that yearn to live,

Needed work,

Cordial jerk,

Death could come and take what’s alive,

But I’d rather grow and thrive...
