Nothing Like a Nice, Hot Coffee (to start the day at 1pm)
Sleepwalking through life,
Waltzing around at 3am,
Up and down the hallways at home,
Then sleeping in the day!
Bloody Vampire fangs,
And raging hunger pangs at night!
Maybe I’m pregnant?
Is it bed-time yet?!
Can’t sleep, not enough action,
Cruising by the beach,
What time is it right now?
Is anyone awake?
Has there been an apocalypse -
whilst I was in bed?!
Sleepily snoozing,
So much time losing,
Now, to Microwave my mug of water,
The kettle is broken and
So is my internal alarm clock,
Put on my socks,
Have brekkie, and a hot black coffee,
And watch the sun go down.

How the Harvest Mouse Came to Suisun Bay
A long, long time ago there was a family of harvest mice. Mice are common, but these were unique – born to those who had lived in the salty, marshy bay for many generations, these mice ate and drank from the sea as well as the land and rivers. For generations, there were only the southern families, scattered along the marshes of Corte Madera and in the San Francisco Bay (U.S. Fish & Wildlife, 2013). One family, however, would undergo strife and conflict before reaching a whole new world. What became of them after is another tale entirely – but this is how their story begins.

Yep, been there 😂. I just embrace it, go with the flow and chill. There’s something so liberating about being the only one up, when everyone else is sleeping and the world is quiet 😊
