Your gargantuan mind

'Not the Desired Effect'

Stood by the fire, t ‘was her greatest desire, it burned; the globe of a thousand memories

She wanted it bad, she wanted it good, nobody would have understood

But then

Stood by the freezer, it was the greatest teaser; the fresh future yet to arrive

It enthralled, it inspired and so it transpired that she would steal that future

That had not yet arrived

She went to it running, galloping, hurtling

It promised good, it promised bad but all the love, the excitement to be had

It was dead and at the head of it all

One small dead lonely girl.

Those drinks, those drugs, a million chances missed to comprehend that this would kill her off in the end. The dead, bright, white future no longer bright but dead in the whites of her eye.
