Seeking from a new horizon
Our friendly neighborhood
Norma Bassett Hall again
Creates the tiny, pale clocktower
That pierces the blue sky and
The mountains behind it
Beneath it a furious
City-wide repetition of beige,
Sun-bleached houses that in their own way
Chases the same sky –
As they all tend to do
The city tends to her
From her vantage point
Fades into the green trees
And prairie that surrounds it or invades it.
Forever captured
In block colors and cartoon outline from our friendly
Neighborhood prairie printmaker.
