A poem

Is there really non fiction

if every word and story can be changed?

Exaggerated?

From the size of the squirrel,

to how many crumbs it stole from your palm,

the tree it climbed...

oak or willow?

If you’re convinced the sky is green,

you’ll force others to adapt your point of view.

Delusion becomes reality

when more and more souls

are consumed by fiction over fact.

When the squirrel drops it’s acorn upon your head,

will you cry that the sky is falling?

Will you exaggerate the pain

or feign injury?

We twist the truth to fill momentary need.

What truths are left in our universe?

Are we just a galaxy of delusions?

fact or fiction
