Noah and His Ark

A rough ride that sealed our future births.

Noah and His Ark

The clouds gathered above the earth,

Heavy with judgment yet unseen,

The skies grew darker day by day,

Beyond what any man had dreamed.

Noah worked beneath the sun,

While others mocked each plank in place,

They laughed at warnings he proclaimed,

And ridiculed his faithful pace.

The hammer echoed through the years,

Each strike a promise firmly laid,

A vessel rising from the dust,

Prepared for what the heavens made.

The animals arrived in pairs,

Across the valleys, hills and plains,

Guided by a higher call,

Before the coming endless rain.

The first drops fell upon the ground,

The people watched with nervous eyes,

Yet still ignored the final chance,

As thunder rolled across the skies.

The rivers swelled beyond their banks,

The oceans climbed the distant shore,

The ark rose gently with the flood,

While waters covered more and more.

Inside the vessel hope remained,

A future sheltered from despair,

Through forty days and forty nights,

Protected by devoted prayer.

When sunlight touched the earth once more,

And doves returned from distant flight,

Noah stepped upon dry land,

To greet a world renewed by light.
