No More Yesterdays, Life Moved On

I stopped waiting where old moments stayed,

No letters came, no reasons followed,

The rooms changed shape without a sound,

And life kept walking past the hollow.

No more reaching into empty air,

No more counting what never remained,

I gathered pieces left behind,

And carried them without the pain.

The days did not ask for permission,

They opened doors and pulled me through,

Showing me that time keeps turning,

Even when hearts resist the truth.

I learned silence has its own language,

Not every ending needs a fight,

Some things leave without a warning,

Some things disappear from sight.

No more yesterdays to live inside,

No more shadows calling my name,

The road ahead held steady ground,

And nothing looked the same.

Life moved on and so did I,

Not with anger, not with regret,

Only with hands no longer closed,

And memories I did not forget.

There are mornings still unfolding,

New voices carried in the breeze,

A different kind of hope appears,

Arriving quietly with ease.

So I leave the past where it belongs,

Not erased, only set free,

Life moved on and I followed too,

Becoming more of me.
