No more gray

Some things are black and white

It doesn't take a rocket--

scientist to understand

that they line their pockets,

then go hiding in the sand.

You don't have to be DaVinci

to paint the picture clear

that he can get off since he

has a bright future.

We don't need LEO training

to recognize abuse--

of power that needs draining.

We said, "Hands up, don't shoot!"

We shouldn't need a flower child

hugging all the trees

to make us protect the wild

and throw out all the Thneeds.

And we can't afford to wait

for rich men to share their wealth

or help us to conquer hate

or to care about our health.

We don't need Father Time

to tell us we're too late

to pretend we're all just fine,

or to leave it up to fate.

We don't need soldiers in throngs

to know we're in this fight.

There is no gray when righting wrongs,

it's only black and white.
