No Friend!

I try to tell them that you’re no friend.

They say you are, till the very end.

You consume their lives and make them blue,

Yet they keep coming back to you!

You are fun at the start,

then slowly convince them that you should never be apart.

You push away their good sense,

till they end up alone on the other side of the fence.

Some learn you can’t be trusted, but only after they’ve been busted.

You go by many names, some fact, some fiction,

So ~ I’ll just pen you as ADDICTION!
