Nikola Tesla: a genius or a charlatan?

In silent labs, Tesla dreamed of light,

Harnessing currents, making the night bright.

His coils crackled with electric flame,

A genius at work, yet obscure in fame.

Against Edison, fierce battles he fought,

In the War of Currents, ideas were sought.

Tesla's alternating path—more profound,

Yet in public clout, he rarely found ground.

Wireless waves crossed over the sea,

Visions of future connectivity.

His mind raced far ahead of his time,

Imagining worlds sublime.

Yet in a New York hotel, alone and poor,

The world outside his door did ignore.

His brilliance faded into shadowed halls,

A mind once lit, now nightfall calls.
