Nightmares

Poem

Nightmare

The moment I thought you were dead.

I didn’t know if it was real or all in my head.

Maybe I was dreaming instead.

The pain felt real, the fear wasn’t still.

The hope of you waking up wasn’t there but I still didn’t care.

I couldn’t let go, The thought of you gone made my mind, body, and heart flare.

I was alone, I no longer had a soul.
