Nightmare

Poem

By Justin AdamsPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

Sometimes in the night

the fears of old

wash over me

The desperation clings

like a child to it's mother

around my soul

The darkness only grows

and twists me

in its maw

Come to where I hide

from the evil things

that haunt me ever still

This shall be the end

of hope and dream

of good and light

In this nightmare I find

something unexpected

solace.
