hear the motors of cars pass by

as I sleep

a door

squeaking suddenly

feel my own heartbeat

the air coming on and off

the wind blowing

through trees and rooftops

unknown animals walking by

random sirens of an ambulance,

police car, or a fire truck

frequent sounds of everyday life

the sounds of night

fact or fiction
