Night Mom

Above the Morgue

Nervous

Itchy

Spastic

Twitchy

Slithering

Slathering

Suppurating

Squirming

Sheet pulled up

Eyes r0ving

Pulse racing

Where?

There!

In the shadows

Crawling

Giggling

Cackling

Grinning

Personal demons dance, taunting

SPLAT!!

Bloody bird viscera

Gory

Sliding down window pane

Nauseating slime trail

Red, black, feathered

Above the dark enshrouded corner

Hairy legged

Fanged

Multi faceted eyes

Weave a webbed prison

My essence ensnared

Wings ripped off

Fluids suckled

Carcass sucked dry

Neath the bed a wiggle

Fingers walk out

No hand connected

Twitching

Pointing

Beckoning

A sussurus

Wafts through

A crack

In newly speckled pane

Carrying carrion stench

Crematorium mists

Coppery

Tangy

Almost sweet

Here above the funeral parlor

My friends gather

Whispering

Tantalizing

Invitations

One hand slides from beneath blanket

Groping

Seeking

Cold

Frigid air

Specter weather

Perhaps it’s my dear mother

Currently resting in pieces

In the morgue below

Her carcass mutilated beyond recognition

Back to repay me in kind.

I don’t believe she can wield the bone saw

SO…

Good night
