Nice Guy

People don’t care for the nice guy.

like the saying goes, nice guys finish last.

they much prefer the butcher.

and the dictator.

or the murderer.

these are the people who earn our respect.

the nice guy is an anomaly of nature.

a mistake.

the one who rescues birds with broken wings

or

helps turtles cross the road

is considered the village idiot.

he is certainly daft.

there is no room for a person like this in society.

can he make any money?

indeed, the nice guy is a liability.

now, the robber baron driving around

in the stretch Humvee -

he is someone to reckon with.

most impressive.

men envy him and

few women indeed would

pass up the opportunity to

bear his children.
