New Year's of Comfort

A poem

By Louise Blake-Michael (Risen Phoenix)Published 2 years ago 1 min read

No parties to speak of.

On this new year love is what matters to us.

As we forget our troubles to start anew, one thing is clear you know.

Snuggled up with my husband as we walk the ball drop.

An epic kiss is formed.

Showing a year we have been together.

The crackling of the fire, in the fireplace.

The warmth of the hot chocolate he brings after brewing it to celebrate our New Year.

Intimacy at it's finest, something I will not regret, you see.

The perfect picture of comfort, warmth of the man I love celebrating a new year together.
