New Favorite Color

I changed my favorite color to purple.

Lilac purple, specifically.

Light, and more warm than cool. 

I kept seeing it everywhere,

putting it on when I could. 

Conner's silver-white-purple hair, 

Candy Pop felt-tip pens at work,

Printed lavender button up for masc days,

Holographic unicorn highlighter for femme days.

It was sunflower yellow before,

and camel brown before that. 

I think it switched to lilac because 

it's a versatile color.

Looks good everywhere, 

especially on me.

It lets me be the 

charming type of gender fluid. 

Definitely a she/they color.

It's cool that my gender 

can match my favorite color

or my favorite color 

can match my favorite gender.
