Another new animal

Sits still at the blood table

Its own kind it craves to eat

A dead parent of its own

No species to tell today

There were these things that make us

An odd breed to tear apart

Then deadly things move within

The molting of the unclean

A bored Bethlehem wakes up

As seeing eyes say no words

Waits for a moment to feed

Knowing truth in each last bite

The tendrils tear each a whole.

Nothing will come of it now

Evolution will conclude

Messiah’s take much patience

Every silent beast knows

When the time for birth is now

All immortality is

A curse to all living things.
