This is what pubs are for

This is my kinda place

Staff that show the grace

Needed to be polite

Friendly

And helpful

You serve coffee I ask

Sure help yourself

They say

No fuss

No barista guff

Just a nice clean empty cup

For me to heat up

With hot water before hitting

The espresso button

Then hitting it again

Sit outside

To enjoy

My short strong

Hot black coffee

Nothing more

Nothing less

And blessed by

The beautiful open space

That is Leicester Square

Lie-sester you say

Welcome visitor

To these islands

This city

No

Le’ster

If you want to say it

The English way

But hey

Who cares

You are welcome to share

The sights in

Any way you please

I always find it charming

To hear how strangers

Say Old English words

For by so doing you

Bless the language and

Its many peoples

Say hello if you like

Always time to talk

I’ll even show you around

If you want me to

For I can be hospitable

Too

And thank you to

The lovely staff

At The Moon Under Water

Leicester Square

For showing the hospitality industry

That you care what

The word means

Show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some have entertained angels.
