Never be Quiet

Reality is a dance between our whispers and our screams, we can fight for our rights though mostly it's in dreams and despite all the doubt we will rise up and we riot, we must rally to remember to never be quiet. We are renegades in our fight for freedom of self that should be surrendered without question, hell it’s a matter of health.

Purple is our plea to be seen, a parade to punctuate what we have always been; we are people and we are proud and there are far more of us than not when you wander through a crowd.

Blue is the beginning where we are not quite sure, we are scared to find out but we need to know more. Our browser history is just a question mark, our differences to us, undeniably stark.

Green is the grief and the grace, the guidance of others who started this race. It's the revitalising moment of meeting that someone who tells us it's ok that it's not fleeting .

Yellow is yesterday and every day before as you smile at today and all that you've fought for

Orange is the outrage that there was ever any doubt, that freedom is for everyone, we shouldn't have to shout. It is hoping that the sun will set to end this trying time, when certain places in the world still see certain love as crime

Red is our remembrance for every soul we lost for loving without question no matter what the cost. It is the blushed cheeks of a decades-long revolution as we march toward our eventual end solution.

Pride is in the moments that are quiet when the colours become muted and it's these times we are forced to remember that our values are disputed. But it is also in our hope that one day we will rise above, and no one else will care about who or how we love.
