I wanted this poem to stretch in one continuous line, but thats not an easily achieved formatting option even on paper. But you know. Imagine it that way.
Laboriously, we stitched together the pieces of you and me [your dreams like drifting seeds blown by the whims of the wind (the embryo within the nurturing endosperm, encased in the seed coat, shielding the hope within) my dreams bullseye punctures in the shield I hid beneath] a quilted whole to keep us warm in the perilous hours of the night.
