'Neath the Halo of a Street Lamp

what makes me special

By Mr. E and the UniversePublished 5 years ago 1 min read
The Moon is kind of a street lamp

I am the underside of black

-

Waltzed long past the initial shadows

of the decrepit corridor

to

who knows where –

I am your deepest suspicion

a spell

a whisper

said in the tongue of snakes

-

I am the gleam of her scales ,

in the lamplight

of the ultraviolet

of the neon symbolism ,

that has spun

surreptitious signal flares

into the breach.

-

I am the intangible, unsung vibration

on the other side of the visible spectrum.

surreal poetry
