Nature's Truth

A Welcome Distraction

Diverted my attention for just a moment

Inside the cavernous expanse beyond

Sapphire skies shimmered above the prairie

Today I was looking to escape my existence

Replace reality with fantasy and forget-me-nots

Allow me to dance with whip-poor-wills

Curiosity is a curse to this culture, insisting we conform

Tenacity is seen as treason in a this grey society

Intention is an insult to any set in their ways

Offended by the mere suggestion of another option

Never mind, I am distracted by nature's truth
