Nature's Farewell

Golden hues fade.

As the sun slowly descends.

Outlining the silhouette of trees.

Showing the beauty.

That lies in farewell.

Nature's masterpiece.

I am sitting on the verenda enjoying the breeze and the book. Time flew by and now the sunrays that once provided natural lighting to my reading adventure was fading away. The words were becoming difficult to read, I think it's time to put the book away. Placing in the peacock feather bookmark, I closed the book.

Turning towards the sky I saw the setting sun and the play of colors that bathed the entire sky. It was a breath-taking moment. On the ground the chasing game began - the shadows seemed to creep out from around the corners chasing away the light and in the sky the game of colors began - various shades and colors of smudges appeared in the sky and gas the sun went farther and farther they began to blend and shift creating a masterpiece in the sky.

As the sun dips below the horizon it leaves behind a trail if fiery hues. Yo me simply being present to witness such a nature wonder makes me feel at peace.
