Carefree caresses
Reverently kiss soft skin
Perfumed with thistles
*
Footprints in the dirt
Temporary tattoo ink
Soon overwritten
*
Sobbing cloud crashes
Obscuring earthy etchings
Flooded colors melt
*
But scorching sunlight
Returns bursting through darkness
Consumed to ashes
