How I Want things to be: A Poem

Things have to be this way

Down to the tee

Every detail inline

I won't take the time to make a plea

But I need you to go along with me

If I don't have this my way I may just not stay

My brain is a mental minefield

I'm afraid if you stay you'll become a consequence to my ways

And that's not enough to make you want to stay

But it should have never been this way

I should be free and open to your ideas

If we're gonna make this work this must be a two way conversation

A pathway for us both to walk down together

Not demmanding eachother to change to be what we see

But to accept who you are and make me want to make you want to stay

It doesn't have to be my way to be the right way
