My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas

Children’s Poem

Do you wanna go to Mercury? The smallest planet, closest to the sun.

Or what about Jupiter, with the storms. A whirlpool could be so much fun.

Venus has no moons. It’s reddish-brown. Why is it so hot? (It’s second from the sun, June)

Oh.

Do you wanna go to Saturn? The planet with the rings and 18 moons.

Or what about Uranus. The color blueish green.

I’m so excited I could scream.

Mars is red, with giant craters

Neptune has a strong magnetic field.

But alas there’s Earth with the water on the surface. The only planet that has life.

It is my home. It’s also yours. And now it’s time for bed.

So for now I’ll sleep. While dreams, they creep, so softly in my head.
