My Toad With Green Hair

By Megha Malik

By moonmegPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I am a toad with green hair,

And I hop around searching for your despair.

My journeys take me far and wide,

Pillaging villages of happiness and pride.

I prance around menacingly,

Reminding you of this pain,

That sorrow which follows you so delicately,

Reminding you that you’re insane.

I see you cry,

I see you weep,

What kind of little girl doesn’t eat?

I feast on your desires,

Rip them apart fiber by fiber,

Any thoughts of whim are quickly destroyed,

For I can’t let you dream!

It would make me unemployed.

My green hair sways with envy,

Hugging your every thought,

I love you so much, can’t you see?

That’s why I hop until you’re distraught.
