My salvation

I've had a thought, the same one for years

That has haunted and bothered me.

I catch glimpses of if at unexpected times.

It may be a painting or

The expression on the face of a man

Or the path a fallen leaf takes to descend.

Whatever it is, I get the sense

That it will save me from myself.
