My Perfect Place

“I’d read your grocery list” challenge

Crater lake

Saturday: 7:10am:

  • Salt and insect spray

Keep the leeches and mossies at bay… 😉

Emerald; ruby and yellow leaf litter rustles

and whip birds whistle.

Shimmering sunlight… liquid gold on crater lake,

As round the muddy, red trail, we lazily make.

  • Crispy bread rolls and barbecue snags…

Great brekkie when our energy flags.

  • Sunscreen and floppy hat…

Floating adrift, stroking, paddling… enjoying a leisurely chat.

  • White chocolate, chips and Iced Coffee…

Accompany gripping novels ‘til the next rain scud causes us to flee.😳

Saturday: 15:23

  • Soothing Aloe Vera…

Sometimes, sadly… there’s a price to pay…

For even the most relaxing, glorious day.🥹

This was such a creative way to describe your ideal day out, even if might not have ended ideally... 😅 Nice work!

Crater Lake is gorgeous. I am #pnw. Lovely descriptions and photo.

  • Very well done. Felt like I was there. And Crater Lake what a place to have as a favorite place. Loved the way the trees frame the foreground with the lake sitting in the background in the pic.

  • True. Just so true.

Oh excellent approach to re-creating the atmosphere of this place! Stunning. I like how you used the prompt to wind such a sensory-heavy poem. It really works well!

  • Awww, they got sun burned! This was a brilliant story you told through a grocery list! I loved it!

  • Sounds like a wonderful place
