My Panic Attack

Holding thoughts in destroy

Panick Attack

Panic hits like a ten-ton blow

stomach twists, hands go cold

you’re sure it’s the end.

Then phone the docs, crying,

no breath left to pretend

Life’s a bitch, no sugarcoat,

emotions punch straight to the throat

you ride the wreck, alone, inside

no map, no light, nowhere to hide

Locked up tight where no one sees

behind closed eyes, on wounded knees

the mind plays God, the body caves

you beg for peace between the waves

Pills from doc after a chat

hopefully will heal, real quick,

so I can put an end to that

So hey I’m still here,

not out, not done.

I am still fighting demons

one by one.

They don’t wear horns,

they sound like me

whispering fears

that no one sees
