my own private prison

a poem

I’m always alone here

with all the voices in the air

they told me I had bipolar

and some schizoaffective disorder

is this the reason why I write?

there are thousands of writers in the world

does that mean everyone has my condition?

why should society fight against it?

I doubt it, that’s just the reason

for all the ungrateful things

they did to me

justification of their routine

they don’t need books, if they do

they never wonder what it’s like

to be the one who created it all

a brand-new world coming out of the head

on paper

without this action there would be no books

no movies will fill their screen

no music will fill the speakers

for their entertainment

so why did they always want to fight us?

if we are the ones who give life

not just one, thousands of them

in every chapter, paragraph, scene

for their attention to submit to it

enforcing it whilst reading

listening and watching

as without these steps

they would not know many solutions to real life problems

not to mention the philosophy of living wisely

I doubt they even care

what's happening

around the next corner of their own street

I guess we’ll see
